Comment: I have 3 identical 40Gb hard disks. Two are connected to a Promise Technology Raid card (Raid 0) and Win 2000 Server is the operating system. The third (totally independant) disk has Redhat Linux 9 on it. I would like to set this up to dual boot with Win 2k server. I do not know how to modify Boot.Ini in Win 2K or Grub in Linux. Can someone help with this? Thanks

Reply: (edit)Doubt if boot.ini can be made to boot linux, but grub will do both, (I'm using a dual boot win2k/rh9.0 now). Post this in the linux forum, you may even find a 3rd party boot loader to do the job for you.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for your reply. Could you please expand on toyr message? I would think that some entry must be made to boot.ini? Also what changes need to be made to Grub? A large part of my problem is that Win 2K lives on a two disk raid 0 array. The Promise Tech driver is Linux kernel specific. It works, but only with a way out of date kernel. Any help appreciated
