Win 2000 Hangs With Blue Screen

I’ve just installed Windows 2000 and now my PC hangs at boot up where the monitor shows a blue background, with a small window in the centre, which also has blue contents. The PC will only boot in safe mode.
It looks like a problem with the Display Adapter, but I’m using the driver from the Win 2000 CD. (I tried installing a different one, W2KV250, but Windows didn’t like that) The currently installed adapter and driver are;

Hi Dave. It sounds like just a glich in the instalation of Win 2000 Pro. I would suggest that you install it again over itself to fix any corupt files. Have a nice day Dave.

Right click My Computer, click Manage, Device Manager, click on the + sign to expand and show the monitor you are using, double click the monitor, click Diver tab, click Update Driver, Next, select 'Search for a suitable driver'. Point it to your driver on the CD provided with the Adapter and install it. If that driver does not help, then download the latest driver from http://list.driverguide.com/list/company211/ Hope this helps.
