Ok I installed ipx and microsoft client for novell networks. That normally will allow NT 4.0 to attach to novell servers. But in 2k I can attach to the local server but I can not attach to any novell servers on the WAN. Anyone know why?
pleas e-mail me any ideas

With what you gave me i can only say, if your connecting through a WAN through IP that might explain something, but it also depends on what version of Netware your running and... how you are connecting. VPN? or what

What version of Netware are you using? And what version of 2000 are you using? If you're using Professional, A quick fix might be to install the latest client off of Novell's site.. 4.8 I think.. Hope that helps...

If you intsalled the MS client for Novell and properly configured the TCP/IP settings for you gateway and dns it should work fine. We are in a 250+ node mixed novell and MS enviroment and it runs fine here and mappes all the drives. Open the controll panel and clock on CSWN and check to see if the sever is bieng found in the sever drop down window. If it is then you need to pick it and set up the tree and context menus. If you cant see it you network settings are wrong and need to be set. Most likly the wrong subnet.
