Hello !
I have win 98 installed on my PC. Now I want to install win 2000 on my PC without deleting
and updating it. I have 2 partitions C and D
drives. In C:\ I have win 98 setup files,etc.
Tell me that how I can Install win 2000 along with win98. I treid to install win 2000
but it gave the error(setup.exe file location
not found, i.e;I entered both C and D drives
in the labelbox/textbox),but failed. which type of setup.exe file is required to install win2000.
Thanks!

assuming you have the original windows 2000 cd, just boot from the cd (you might have to change the boot order in the BIOS). It will run the installer, and let you choose which partition to install win2k on. Choose D:, or you'll overwrite win98.

Actually, you can put them on the same partition since they're in separate directories, but you have to make sure you don't format the partition or convert it to NTFS--choose the option "leave partition as is"

As zippy said, boot from the CD and you should be all set. I installed win2k in the same partition as win98 just last week and it seems to be running smoothly.
