Does windows 2k treats floppy differently. I often get the message " the floppy is not formatted, would u like to format it now". The same floppy works in win 98.

Did you format your floppy's with the 98 machine? Also, are they HD or DD flopys? Win 2K doesn't see them any different than 98, if so I have never heard of it. Most floppys come pre-formatted. But there are some that don't. It has to be the FAT the floppy has??

Some motherboards (older bios versions of ECS k7s5a) have trouble with floppy in win2k. It was correceted in newer bios revisions. Not sure if that helps, but may be worth a shot.

Format the floppy with NTFS file system. LOL just kidding.
