white line in middle of screen

there is a thin white line running down the center of my screen. still there after rebooting.

why is it there? how do i get rid of it?

Offhand I'd say your video card is going bad, or else your monitor is going bad. Try connecting to another monitor and see if the problem persists...

same problem occured to me when my comp crashed!
try changing your desktop wallpapper to another one and then back to the old one again...its weird but it worked for me! :)
