Which W2k functions demands DHCP

I would need to know which Windows 2000 functions that cannot be used without DHCP. I know that RIS for one demands DHCP aswell as AD & DNS, but which other W2k functions will I miss out without DHCP? Thanx in advance m8!

Right offhand about the only thing you'd miss would be RIS. The main reason to go to DHCP is ease of network management.....

As added clarification: Neither DNS or Active Directory is DHCP dependent. Active Directory is dependent on DNS that supports dynamic updates. -MW
