I've recently encountered a rather annoying problem in windows.

Here it is: My computer will suddenly become unresponsive while in Windows. My mouse doesn't work and I can't click on anything. Seconds later, the screen goes blank. This lasts for maybe 2 seconds at the most, then everything returns to normal. The key here is, I've only noticed this occurring while surfing the Internet. Earlier today, I check my "event viewer" in administrator tools to see if an error was logged. Sure enough, I found an error that was logged during this blank out. A NetBT error was logged as the source. Now, what the heck is Netbt? I've also noticed a frequent error in the logger from Mrxsmb (never noticed lockups with this one though).

I've checked my computer for viruses, spyware, adware, etc. Everything checked out fine. I've even done a deep error checking scan of both hard drives, as well as defrags. The problem persists. My gut is telling me something is up with my network card drivers for my Shuttle AN35N motherboard. I would rather get someone else's opinion about this before trying different drivers. Thanks.
