I have tried several web servers now and they all seem to experience the same problem so I am sure it is not the web servers themselves. I have a web-site which I backed upto cdrom, when attempting to view any page beyond the index, it kills my internet connection like a self inflicted DoS. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you running scripts?
If so I'd check that you haven't got a never ending loop running, etc

well, it seems the problem oly really occurs when someone tries to download a file such as a jpeg image from one of my directorie, such as clicking and viewing it. The problem also occurs when they try to use my web forum...I have checked the even viewer and there is no information.
