I have tried several web servers now and they all seem to experience the same problem so I am sure it is not the web servers themselves. I have a web-site which I backed upto cdrom, when attempting to view any page beyond the index, it kills my internet connection like a self inflicted DoS. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you running scripts? If so I'd check that you haven't got a never ending loop running, etc
