Specs: Windows 2000
Hi all,

I have some problem when I try to configure w32time services in window 2000 advanced server get time from my NTS server, I try to follow the guide from Microsoft website to configure get time from external time sources

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216734

In this guide mention few registry need to modify, but when I try to follow the guide and configure, I only manage find the "Parameters" registry, but other registry like "ReliableTimeSource", "LocalNTP", "NtpServer" and etc cannot find in my window 2000 advanced server's registry. May i know do I miss out anything? Do I need to restart after I changed the "Parameters" then only the rest of the registry will appear (auto create by system) or I need to create the registry manually? Hope you all can help.

Thanks and best regard,

Kc

Yes, you have to create some things manually.
You should be careful by editing the registry and I suggest to write down the changes, you make and the additional entries you created.
So you can restore the old configuration if necessary.

Sure, it will work.
As far as I've seen on that page, all registry keys you need to create, are under HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters

There are not that much keys to create.
Take care of the key type, e.g. DWORD.
