hi, in my windows2000 pro, the ZoneAlarm can't remember the "always allow" settings for new apps that wanted to go access the net. For example, after i installed Yahoo Messenger, naturally ZA will ask whether it's allowed to access the net. I click "Always Allow" but if/after reboot, and i run Yahoo Messenger again, ZA will block and ask for authorisation again.
not sure if it's win2k or ZA playing tricks. it doesnt happen with just YahooMessenger, but other apps too. however, the ZA already has some settings there (for eg, MSN messenger which has been always allowed to access net, among many other apps which was previously set).
i've mess around with the msconfig and Services settings (changed many to manual or Disabled). wonder if one of these is affecting win2k to remember some settings?
any feedback appreciated.
thanks,
