What exactly do you want to do... try to revive W2K? Rescue files from the hard disk of the failed computer?

You won't be able to backup files using DOS because DOS can't read an NTFS partition. You will either have to use something like ERD Commander to read the NTFS partition or just drop the hard drive in another computer running Win2K or XP.

First of all why want it boot. Are getting any error messages. Also how far are you getting in the boot process. You may be able to correct the boot problem and then back up your data.
