I have a dual installation of Win 98 and Win2K. Everytime I open the W2K Windows Explorer and click on "My computer" in the left pane, Windows Explorer refuses to respond and simply hangs. I simply can't understand it. Once when I tried accessing my DVD drive(Hitachi GD 5000), W2K simply disappeared without even a blue screen of death. Next thing I was seeing was the bios doing its warm up routine. I have no such problem under Win 98 which is working smoothly. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Can anyone help? This is amazing me esp. since I have heard it is next to impossible to crash W2K.

That sucks man. All I can suggest is making sure all of your device drivers are the latest version. But I imagine that would be a good trick since you can't use explorer. Best of luck.
