When you set your domain to Native mode, does that mean that anything less than W2K cannot login to the domain? i.e., Win98?

Here's a Microsoft Article to explain the results for going from Mixed to Native.
Note the subtle distinctions in phrases like, "windows NT BDC" and " Windows 2000 PDC (which is the DOMAIN Controller, if in Native Mode - there are no PDC, BDC Roles)

No w95/98/me clients can still log on. However, you can no longer join NT4 domain controllers (servers) to the domain.
