I know this sounds suspiscious but someone died suddenly and left important data on their w2k laptop which has a logon password (actually looks like a Novell client logon screen). Yes, you have guessed it, he did not leave any traceable copy of the password. How do I get to the data?

You can ghost the image from the laptop to a an IDE hard drive and run the drive as a slave

Install another Win2000 (or XP) to a different directory on the laptop. You can access the files from there then...
