Upgrading from win98SE to Win2000. Forgot to remove the video driver. Everything installed and system goes to reboot and intsall the program. When it gets to the point of installing drivers, the screen blinks a couple of times then the blue screen comes up with a "hardware failure, contact vendor" message. I think it is my video driver problem and have the driver on CD but the system seems to be looking only at the disk drives (A and B) I have a DVD drive and a CD-Rom drive. The Win2000 install disk is in 1 and the drivers are on the other. How can I get my program to look for the driver on the other CD drive? The video driver program is to large to fit on a disk.

SOunds like your video card don't cut the mustard, strange but. Not having the drivers installed should not matter, It just means you cant use the full potential of your graphics card.
You should first check the Microsoft Knowledge Base via Microsoft.com. If you cant find anything there; this is what I would do (with the little info given)
If you are sure your video card is all right then maybe try this:
Pull out all cards in PCI slots and ISA slots. leave only your mouse and keyboard (and obviously power) plugged into your machine. And try to boot up. If it boots fine; then slowly add your other cards and peripheals back until you find the fault.

When you say upgrade, do you mean you did a simple upgrade? or did you format the hard disk and perform a clean install of Windows 2000?
It is not recommended to "Upgrade" from Win9X to Win2K. Even Microsoft themselves recommend against this. Win2K is a totally different animal than Win9X. You're just asking for trouble if you simply upgrade. It's always better and in fact highly recommended to do a clean install.
