I am trying to install W2k on a AsusA7V m/b with Promise ATA100 controller. I have got past the HD controller driver install, partitioning etc, but when W2k starts to load to carry on setup after the first reboot I get the following message: Windows 2000 could not start because because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Please check the Windows 2000 documentation...etc. Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!

Some additional info: Attempting a dual boot install - Win ME on C: drive, installing W2k on second hard drive (D:). Have already specified this in setup.

Managed to fix it - hooray! Re-ran install and selected different partition option. By making it reformat the whole partition in NTFS from scratch rather than converting it from FAT to NTFS without reformat it worked!
