I've just built a new machine - Epox 8k7a mobo with XP1800 processor - using RAID striping config also. I'm having issues installing win2k from cdrom - During the initial process of copying files needed for set-up, approx 15 files are 'not found' (you can choose to skip, but after more and more files failed, I gave up!) I have tried another media, and also a different CD drive - same problem. I have installed Win98SE on the same platform, and it works fine - all hardware checks out, and the Raid is OK. Verified the Win2k CD on another machine, and the files being 'not found' are there (albeit compressed). Running FSB at 133, and 512 of DDR Ram. Any ideas???

I've had the same problem and after going through many forums I read more that once that the culprit is usually the ram. Try changing that and see what happens. I have Win2K installed with a few files missing (skipped) and am not very happy about it, but it goes. Good luck
I'm having the same problem. I swapped out 90% of parts and nothing seems to fix it. Please keep me updated on this problem. EMail me if you find a fix. I havent tried the RAM. Thats what i'm doing next. I'll keep you all updated.
