I have a Win2000 network, a W2K svr and a few Win2000 Pro clients. When i make a group policy to install (assign) software on the client computers and leave authenticated users to read and apply group policy ALLOW, the software installs fine. but when i put the client computers in a group and add the group to the gpo and give this group read and apply gpo while removing authenticated users, the gpo is not installing the software??? why is this happening, if i add authenticated user back in and reassign it read and apply gpo and remove the newly created computer group the software will install on the computers!! dies authenticated users also mean client computer accounts not just user accounts??
