I would apreciate if somebody can help me. My problem>when desktop screen come out I get thi error "SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDriver.VDD, Virtual Device Driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose 'Close' to terminate the aplication.

Try holding f8 at startup and choosing 'last known good'

I have the same message, although I can ignore it and start the program I want anyway. I do not get the fatal error message.
I did some searching and found a suggested, but possibly risky, fix on www.micro-solutions.com/tech_support/issues/341any.html. I also found that I had different versions of s32evnt1.dll, and Symantec has a download to fix this. It apparently occurs in connection with Norton antivirus. I haven't tried this fix yet.
