I have a question about adding a W2K DHCP server to a W2K Domain. I have a W2K Server domain controller all set up with DNS, RRAS. I want to add a DHCP server, i installed the W2K server with DHCP component on another computer but during setup I left it in the workgroup, not joining a domain. In order for DHCP to work on my LAN can I just logon locally to the W2K DHCP server and configure the DHCP properties and authorize it? or do i first have to join the domain, then log on to the DHCP LOCALLY and configure the DHCP options?? Or do i LOG INTO the domain from the DHCP server with the domain controllers admin account and then configure the DHCP options?? After I configure the dhcp options by one of the above ways, will I have to log into the dhcp server locally or to the domain for the dhcp service to work?
