Has anyone successfully installed Windows 2000 professional to a system based on above motherboard? I can use only VGA mode and when I try to log in normally the system hangs. I got Riva TNT display adapter which should work properly with W2K. Any ideas?

Does your Display Properties list your TNT as "VGA Save" and have a mobo resource icon beside it in Device Manager? If so I've tested three TNT-type chipsets with two results. My Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (TNT2 Ultra) works no problem but my STB Velocity 4400 (TNT) and Asus AGP-V3800 (TNT2 Ultra) both get the issue I listed above. I tried updating the BIOSes on both cards but to no avail - 3Dfx bought out STB and disavow the Velocity 4400 because it's an Nvidia chipset. Asus' tech support just flat out sucks and I was going in circles with them. So it seems my friend there are certain versions of TNT chipsets that W2K misunderstands as some sort of mobo resource. The only thing I can suggest is to update your BIOS, hound your card's manufacturer and use Detonator 3.78 Release Candidate reference drivers for W2K.
