Reply: (edit)Is your username/password set up locally on the laptop itself?? That could be the problem. If it isn't, you'll need admin rights to set it up.

Reply: (edit)Don The username and password from your company domain is different from the local account, they are authenticated by the domain controller. why don't u ask the adminstrator at your company he should also know the local account login information.

Reply: (edit)hi, solved it myself.... there was no other solution but to hack the local user and reset the admin user and passwd to blank.... (amazing how easy i could find it...) what i learned: never change domain/workgroup settings, if you only have a domain user with admin rights... you GOTTA have the local admin account...

Reply: (edit)Another thing to remember if this happens is to be sure that you have the options open to see the domain or local account you are trying to log into. If you have a domain, say ABC, if you are on your home network and trying to logon to ABC, there will not be a Domain server to authenticate your account. If you click the down arrow and change it to your own machine, you would be able to logon using your local profile. Glad you "fixed" it, but -------------^
