W2000 and Ericsson SH888

I'm unable to put my SH888 at work with my w2000 notebook. The IR system recognizes the SH888... but nothing work then. There are drivers for w2000 and SH888 ?? Please, reply to gpavan@telnetwork.it

SAME PROBLEM! I already upgraded my phone to the last available sw. Ericsson switzerland tell me that no special driver are needed... BUT DOSENT WORKS (porca miseria!) Please replay to sklett@iname.com Stefano

Hi guys I have the same problem with my NOKIA and I talked with tech supp.
Bad news, win2000 does not support irda connections with a mobile over RAS.
I'm so sorry but I go to win98 again.

There is a firmware upgrade for the SH888 to let it work under Windows 2000. Contact your dealer.

Maarten is right, the latest firmware upgrade TAE SW(CXC 125 101) by Ericsson makes it. Your Ericsson service should download file SH888EMM_131R3b_101R3ar1.exe to get it. However we still wait until we get the new Ericsson Mobile Office and modem script to use it for data/fax work in Windows 2000.
