VXD device driver format invalid

I'm using Win2k Professional. The Computer starts up fine and seems to be working normally. But when I open the MSDOS prompt to get a DOS Window, I get the following error: "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\COMMAND.COM SYSTEM\CURRENT\CONTROLSET\CONTROL\VIRTUALDEVICEDRIVERS.VDD. The VXD Device driver format in the registry is invalid. Click 'close' to terminate the program."
Then I'm given two options; to "close" or "ignore". If I "close", the MSDOS window closes. If I click "ignore", the problem seems to go away and I am at the MSDOS prompt. How can I correct this error??
Then, use Regedt32.exe, on the Edit menu, add Value name VDD as a REG_MULTI_SZ data type in the same location. Don't enter any data in the Multi-String Editor. Press OK and exit Regedt32.
You may want to restart your computer to initialize the change. Good luck.
