Comment: Hi I just bought a soundblaster pci 128, and I'm using windows 2000 pro. The problem is the volume is too low. My sound card worked great until I installed win2k pro. The master volume is turned all the way up. I've switched speakers, and sound cards. I'm having the same problem. I've also played around with the plugs on the sound card. Please help its driving me crazy. I'm thinking maybe its something that is sat up wrong on my computer...Any ideas.

Reply: (edit)This may seem too obvious, but did you use the Windows 2000 drivers for that device? If so uninstall the device from Device Manager, and then refresh Device Manager, and install the device again with the correct 2000 drivers. If not you can use device manager to install the new drivers too, use the drivers tab for that device and go through the wizard. Just a thought.

Reply: (edit)Yes I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the driver so many times it ain't funny. I also tired the software that came with the card. That is why I think it has something to do with the way my computer is setup....
