Anyone ever seen the volume control turn it's self off? When I select the volume I want the control lowers the volume all the way to low all on it's own. It won't stay turned up.

Anyone have any idea's?

Never seen this in Windows 2000, but if I remember right I had it in Win98. It turned out that the drivers for my audio were screwed up. Might try reinstalling your sound card and audio drivers and see if that works......

I went from windows 98 to 2000 pro and had the same problems, I could use the mouse to adjust the volumn slider up, and it would work fine until I let it go, then it would drop down to zero! I hope you had better luck than I. I upgraded my Bios (compaq 5284),tried replacing the soundcard drivers (ESS Audiodrive), and even tried older versions. At this point my considering a complete wipe and reload to win 98. If anyone has made this work, PLEASE contact me at coineater@aol.com
