Anyone ever seen the volume control turn it's self off? When I select the volume I want the control lowers the volume all the way to low all on it's own. It won't stay turned up.

Never seen this in Windows 2000, but if I remember right I had it in Win98. It turned out that the drivers for my audio were screwed up. Might try reinstalling your sound card and audio drivers and see if that works......

I went from windows 98 to 2000 pro and had the same problems, I could use the mouse to adjust the volumn slider up, and it would work fine until I let it go, then it would drop down to zero! I hope you had better luck than I. I upgraded my Bios (compaq 5284),tried replacing the soundcard drivers (ESS Audiodrive), and even tried older versions. At this point my considering a complete wipe and reload to win 98. If anyone has made this work, PLEASE contact me at coineater@aol.com thanks, mike 10-30-01
