Comment: When I try to run an avi or mpg or even a real audio movie the system reboots after approximately 5 seconds... I see a blue screen with some text in the top but It is gone to fast for me to read it. It says something about physical memory problems or something like that. I have one 128 block of memory and an older 64 mb block, tried to pull out the 64 mb but still the same problem... I have a Diamond viper 550 Riva TNT card and installed the new detonator 3 drivers but still same problem. Any help would be much appreciated!

Reply: (edit)I started having this problem in win2k when trying to encode mpegs (video). Everything else seemed to work fine (even playing video files). Now I found that Dr. Watson does the same thing. I wonder what else? So far I haven't even been able to read that blue screen, but our problems sound very similar. Since you said your message said something about memory, I think I might try changing some memory settings in BIOS. Other than you message, I haven't found anyone else with this problem.

Reply: (edit)Go to sytem properties>advanced>startup recovery>sytem failure and clear the automaticly reboot tick box. You will now be able to read the stop error. When you have the info, if you can't see an answer come back but please give more info about your system as this could be anything. For instance some Super 7 boards have problems with NVIDEA chipsets.
