We have a computer setup to run terminal services for our employees at work. Being in the software development business, we frequently compile new versions of our executables and DLL files.

A big problem that I've noticed is the inability of Windows 2K Advanced Server to allow for user sessions to maintain an individual setting withing the registry in terms of registered DLL files. This becomes a big headache when I compile an ActiveX DLL file (via VB6SP5). The compile operation automatically registers the new file for all user accounts.

How would I go about allowing for UserA to have registered Folder1\File.DLL and UserB to have registered Folder2\File.DLL?

I've read as much help as I can locate and I can find nothing on the subject. Now, I have read about Active Directory and the Distributed File System, but neither of these seem to accomplish what I am after.

Is what I want to do even possible? Seems like a simple setting to allow for user-loaded HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT settings to me. But I'm no certified administator, either.
