We have Win2000 server as a domain of our network.
We need user passwords to meet such requirements: at least 8 symbols of length and we want 3 of them to be digits.
Is there any oportunity to do so?
Thanx in advance.
P.S. Default "Password must meet complexity requirements" isn't what I need. It's too complicated for our users, 'couse they like to forget complex passwords at the same moment as they change them :))
Your choices are somewhat limited. Since the password complexity requirement doesn't suit you needs, about the only other thing you can control is the minumum length. There isn't a way to designate that 3 be numbers.
I would suggest looking into passfilt. It is installed into 2000 by default, but isn't switched on by default. This will probably sort out your problem....
