usb printer is not printing dos pro

I have recently purchased on Hp usb deskjet printer and it is not printing for dos based program. when I contact hp service center I will come to know that usb printer will not work with dos program. But Is there any other way to print my FOXPRO database files?

Yes, go to properties of the printer, select sharing, share it as HP click ok go to dos prompt type NET USE LPT1: \\computername\HP /PERSISTENT:YES run Foxpro, LPT1: will now redirect to your HP
