USB port Not Working

Hi,
My usb connectors on my computer are not working. I know that normally it should say "New hardware found" when you connect a new device. The USB connector is on the Motherboard and i can't find any info in the device manager.

the drivers for the USB device should be on the motherboard install CD. This would be one of the discs Dell Provided. You might try checking with dell's support website. They might have downloadable USB drivers for your machine and OS.

The BIOS is where you would enable USB. If it si already enabled there, check device manager and verify that there isnt a yellow exclamation mark by usb

on my hp compaq system there are around 6 usb ports, the problem i am able to use these ports only once. if i connect by digi cam to it, it ia able to detect it but in the windows explorer, it shows the message not responding. the same problem fro flash drive, when ic connect it displays the contents and files in the flash drive and i am unable to access this. I have tried in all the 6 usb ports, now i am unable to use anything. please solve my query.
