USB port Not Working

October 6, 2005 at 08:15:58
Specs: Windows 2000 pro, not sure

My usb connectors on my computer are not working. I know that normally it should say "New hardware found" when you connect a new device.
The USB connector is on the Motherboard and i can't find any info in the device manager.

Where can i go to enable my usb port?

the drivers for the USB device should be on the motherboard install CD. This would be one of the discs Dell Provided. You might try checking with dell's support website. They might have downloadable USB drivers for your machine and OS.

best of luck Frank :

The BIOS is where you would enable USB. If it si already enabled there, check device manager and verify that there isnt a yellow exclamation mark by usb
