I need a driver for USB Memory Stick Slot and it says it's not installed and I don't know where I can get the driver for this. This is what the location said that's how I know it's a USB Memory Stick Slot.

Windows should automatically detect a memory stick. What happens when you insert the stick into the USB port? Do other USB devices work on this same port?

You were advised that you need at least SP3 in your other thread. (http://computing.net/windows2000/wwwboard/forum/65030.html)
If you have SP3 and ALL chipset drivers installed then your USB stick may not be compatible with Win2000. If that is the case then nothing can be done about it. Have you verified that your USB ports are functioning correctly by connecting other hardware?

It says USB Memory Stick Slot but this is built on the notebook. It's a Sony and the model number is PCG-R505ESP. I didn't add anything to the USB but I think that it's built on the PC.

Well I don't have any memory sticks and other devices I connect to the 3 USB ports I have work fine. I don't know were the memory stick is built but it just says on my device manager that I need to install a driver for that.

Then, why worry about it until you insert a memory stick/flash drive?

Well I know that when I installed Windows XP the driver for this is installed so I just needed everything for this notebook so in the future when I get a memory stick I won't have problems.

Installing a device driver for a device that isn't even there is not only pointless, but stupid, as it creates files that don't get used, entries in the Registry that get processed for no reason...that's assuming the driver even installs, anyway.
I would do a little homework on this one, go to the Manufacturer's site. Also, be sure that all Windows Updates are installed, and that your USB connections (on the motherboard) are correct. Sometimes, even with an improper ground, a USB port(s) will work, just unpredictably with some devices. ;-)
n_n Hope this was helpful.
