Comment:

Can I upgrade to Windows 2000 Pro from Win95 or do I have to upgrade from Win98?
Is there a difference when upgrading from Win98 (1st edition) or Win98 (2nd edition)?

If i were you I would just perform a clean install. I had upgraded to Win 2K from 98 and all i had was headaches, I then did a clean install of Win 2k on a fresh HDD and my machine is running great. Just an opinion.

And the above opinion is a very good one! If you do a fresh install of w2k w/a dual boot, you can take your time putting different programs and files on the new os. There will come a time you will get rid of '98.....just like I did! :)
