I am really fed up with this "Unsafe Removal of Device" message box that keeps coming up.
Has anyone discovered a way to keep it from happening? Am I the only one out there that has this problem? I have SP2 installed, tried SP 3 but did a clean re-install to get rid of it. I have a Parallel Zip Drive and a SanDisk card reader that are possibly doing this. Can anyone suggest a remedy?
Thanks much.

LS: The message means is, you did not manually shut down the device before removing. Unless the device is USB you should(for safety sake) remove the device after shutting down your computer and plug it in before turning on the computer. In the old days, removing a device while computer was on could disable the port, blow a hole(have seen that) at the port. You say your devices are parallel, so would be wise to do install/removal when computer is off. Now if you use USB devices and unplug, there is no harm done, except the annoying message, which is just a warning. There is nothing wrong with your computer. In fact it is doing it's job by warning you.
