Hello,
I'm trying to clean install win2000, on my an empty partition of my hard drive. I want to dual-boot along with win95 which is already installed. At the very beginning of the install, the setup program reboots and then I get a blue screen with this message:
Unknown Hard Error
/system32/ntdll.dll blablablaMy system is PII 350, 64MB RAM, Western Digital 20 GB, SoundBlaster 128PCI, Creative Banshee 16MB.
Any suggestion is appreciated
ThanksSTP

upgrate kernel and ntdll to the lastest version, sp2 will correct all those errors ehwn it will be ready

I had my win2000 running perfect until I installed IE 6.0 Beta and it messed things up totally. First, I cant 'type' in the 'text box' that are in IE such as this one that I"m typing in; I have to use netscape for it...
and I cannot un-install any programs because the Add/remove program window displays only icons, no text -
I tried reinstalling win2k and its giving me error about hard error with ntdll.dll.
any clue on whats going on? I cant even reinstall, I cant even uninstall -
win2k runs great until it runs, when it crashes, its like forgeting ur pw - ur screwed :-)
someone give me some advise...
thanksNevil

get a fresh copy of ntdll.dll and copy it into the 'installation directory' - this is a directory which the instalation program makes. It should fix the problem; if not write to me, i'll explain in details.
