I had a program called counterspy an antispyware program that I uninstalled a few days ago and now I keep getting windows installer opening and trying to install this program every time I open certain programs: my email clients; outlook express and thunderbrid also when I open Pando and my removable drive anyone know what's going on?
Of course I cancel it and restarts and I cancel it and it restarts so I have to let it load so that it can't find the installer for the program and ask me for the location several times be fore it gives up. But once I open one of the above listed programs it starts all over.
How did you uninstall the program? By way of add/ remove programs or using a uninstall utility from counterspy? If by Add/ remove you may need to reinstall and use the uninstaller bundled with the program. Look for it by going to My computer> C: program files> counterspy (or whatever the folder is named).
