Comment: I want to install Norton Virus Scan, but before I can do that I must uninstall the McFee virus scan that came with my computer when I bought it. How do I uninstall the McFee Virus Scan?

Reply: Don't screw with it. Contact McAfee. My wife tried to uninstall it and even with McAfees' help she still has a warning that pops up when Outlook starts up. That programming is very hard to uninstall completely unless done correct the first time. IT SUCKS at best but in my opinion it's amost criminal the way it locks itself into your programming.

Reply: I myself have had some troubles with the ole McAfee. But it has saved me even more trouble by catching those little nasty bugs. I would recomend staying with McAfee. Anway here is a link to get some instructions on how to uninstall in correctly
this instructions should take you to a tech document on McAfees website. good luck and dont hold me rsponsible for any troubles you get from my help, cuz they ask you to play in the registry in all else fails. good luck johny~ This link is for Win 2000/NT
