I have two problems that seem to be related. I have an unhandled exception c000005 at address: 100016b8. After i close that dialog box a program error pops up. It says PgMonitr.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows, you will need to restart the program. I have tried to restart the program but i just get back the original exception. I read up on other similar problems on other windows platforms and it seems like it was some sort of spyware problem associated with kazaa and other similar programs. I unistalled kazaa and other recent installs to my computer then ran ad aware. This has not helped my computer i still get the messages.

please help me
thanks

Error 0x5 is a generic "Access denied" error. It is indicative of a programming error in PgMonitr.exe. There are so many things that can cause this sort of error (a program writing to a an invalid handle, for example, among dozens of others) that nobody can say for sure what it is in this case. Refer the problem to the programmer. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

This is caused by a Program called Promule Gate. This is a spy ware program installed by KAZAA. What you need to do is un install a program call DelFinMedia Viewer in add and remove programs . It works everytime

Hey Dru2002,

Thanks for the tip man. I was having this error popup when I added new user accounts to a w2kpro machine and they logged in. I uninstalled like you said and the error vanished.

Cheers.
