Unable to start the NETLOGON

I've win2000 server. when i access from win98 i couldn't access the windows2000 Share it's asking

You must supply a password to make this connection:
Resource: \\computername\IPC$
But from XP OK.. so i checked Microsoft K.B and find that I've to start the NETLOGON Service. so i try to start the service it's giving error message"couldn't start on local computer and the event ID 3095" when i checked the Even log it's showing "This windows NT Computer configured as a member of a workgroup,not as a member of a Domin.The netlogon not need to run this configuration. As per the error message i can understand i don't need to start the Netlogon service but do i ? or how can i access the share from win98 to win2000. ( over the IP or the Name) can any one help me out of this Thanks

You need to build an account on the Win2k machine for your Win98 machine.

Make sure both machines are in the same workgroup. Do no use the default work group (MS HOME, I think, make up a new on like Home or something.)
