Comment: hi all, im having difficulties in deleting a particular application thats currently stored within the add/remove programs field (control panel). Just recently noticed this app, once highlighted it doesnt give me the option in removing/uninstalling it. can anyone help pls?

Reply: hi Carl, the name is cam_au and thats it. i dont know what it does, it dont know if its even a legitimate prog. when im in the add/remove field once cam_au is highlighted it gives me no option to remove it. do i need to check my registry? not really experienced in doing this.

Reply: carl, thanks but ive sorted it out. after my last post i checked the registry (not sure what i was doing) but under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE i found keys for that prog. Actually it was a xxx porn dialer prog that was located in c:\winnt\system32 folder. Although deleting the uninstall prog and keys, this wasn't enough from actually removing the icon in the add/delete field, so i end up d/l a uninstaller prog which eventually allowed me to do so. Question? I wasnt able to uninstall the prog from the c:\winnt\system32 folder correctly (i dont think). I only deleted the prog. pls advise if this was the correct method for a correct uninstall?
