I am trying to help my great uncle fix his broken IE. I would really like to convince him to change to Firefox but some people are diehard IE users.

Here is his problem:

I am unable to open the web site you sent me by clicking on the
http address. When I click on it a symbol of a hand appears and then an x on the back of the hand appears momentarialy and nothing happens.

I've tried to right click and then click open and still nothing.

I have norton, spy bot, adaware and avg and have ran them all but still can not open from the mail page.

I am at a loss to what to tell him to do next. I tried to guide him on resetting IE, uninstall/reinstall IE, my last suggestion is Firefox!

I think with all the current problems with IE there should be a IE Support here lol.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Chad

The address is at cnet.com It works fine on everybody's pc I sent it to except for his. Copy and paste doesn't work either. I have instant messaged him and sent the link that way also which doesn't work.

I'm not sure if it's link related or his computer won't accept cnet.

Could be he needs to upgrade his version of IE or install some plug-ins so that the site loads. It appears to use either Shockwave or some other Multimedia plug-in.
