Subject: Unable to logon as netlogon serviceOS: W2KCPU/Ram: PIII 1Ghz 128Mb |
Comment: I get the following error message "Unable to log you on because the netlogon service is not running on this machine." when a user attempts to logon to the domain from a W2K workstation (for the first time). The domain admin can logon OK, and another domain user can logon from the workstation. I reset the password for the user and tried to logon again. It asked me to change the password and then came back with the same error message. How do I solve this problem? Regards Dean

Reply: Sorted it! The users account was restricted to logging on from a specified workstation only. Nice & friendly error message!
