On booting my machine (win2K) I get: STOP:c000026c unable to load device driver ....mrx driver could not be loaded

Is there a way to troubleshoot this within win2k, to find which software I downloaded that could be causing the problem?

Usually I reboot a couple of times to clear it, but now it is getting annoying.

Reply:

check Device Manager and look at your modem, you may need to re-install the driver for that (or some other device)
