I dont know how..but wscheduler.exe ended in my c:\documents & settings\username\start menu\programs\startup folder.
I know it schedules task for windows, but I dont need it. So I tried deleting it, and got error "access denied - the source file may be in use", despite the fact that my windows user account has admin rights!
I dont need wscheduler for my tasks. I run my schedule tasks on other windows 2000 pro pcs and there's no wscheduler.exe involved on them. So I should be able to erase it.
I also disabled the scheduler service and tried erasing again wscheduler.exe..but with same result. I went through task manager and saw nothing related to it. In the registry, normaly the RUN section of windows should have an entry for it: there's nothing there!
Thanks for your help

Try taking it out the Startup Group folder.

Start>Right Click, Explore, Programs, Startup Folder.

This is the program and there is a little info here: Startup
