I have a Sandisk Cruzer USB flash that I have been using for a couple of months to transfer files and data from my desktop to my notebook both running W2K. Today, when I try to eject/unplug it from my desktop using the Eject or Unplug Hardware button, I get a message " The device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later." I used the hardware wizard in control panel and it shows it working properly. It works and ejects properly on my notebook. I would like to unplug it safely without having to shut down my desktop every time. Any suggestions? Thx.
