Comment:

We have 3 servers all win2k, 2 servers are running AD and DNS one of them has started to act wierd.. I found that the faulty server was unable to browse the network but all other nodes in the network has no problems accessing information/shares on the faulty server, the server can do nslookup using it self as DNS also using the other AD server, but if I go START RUN and TYPE \\ or \\ of a server or workstation I get the same error as if im trying to browse the network.
ERROR: UNABLE TO BROWSE THE NETWORK THE NETWORK IS NOT STARTED OR PRESENT. Ive checked tha LANMANSERVER and LANMANWORKSTATION was present i registry.
Ive removed DNS and remaked it on the faulty server. I even removed MICROSOFT CLIENT and FILE AND PRINTER SHARING and also I installed WIN2K SP3, at this moment iam looking at DNS beeing the problem but I cant find how to sort it out can anyone help me here please ? any ideas ?

best rgds,
Lars
