Unable to access CD Drive

Subject: Unable to access CD Drive
OS: windows 2000
CPU/Ram: 128 KB
Comment:

1. If I insert a cd in my cdrom it is not read!
Telling: "Please insert Disk in Drive"
2. I tried to insert the same CD on the other machine.. I get the following message..
"The Disk in Drive D is not formatted . Do you want to format it now?"

I am want to copy few files on to CD-R.Whats wrong?

Hi.
If the CD you are inserting is blank then your computer cannot read it as it containes no system files. Have a nice day.
