txfaux.dll missing

OS: w2000 sp3
CPU/Ram: amd2400 512mb

I am seeing this message first bootup after installation. Not even connected to the internet! Even installed the same W2000 on this computer a couple of times in the past. Suddenly I start getting this message:

Winlogon.exe - Unable to locate DLL
The dynamic link library TXFAUX.DLL could not be found in the specified path.

Any ideas would be appreciated,

Are you using distributed transaction processing? It is the process that uses the missing file. Try booting from the win 2k cd, and start like you are going to install windows, but do not format the partition. When it finds the existing windows installation, run the repair option, to see if it puts back the missing file.
