I have been having a problem recently about my comp having two admin accounts. Recently I installed some software (Sun Download Manager) and now in addtion to my regular "Administrator" account, I have a "Administrator.PENTIUM350" account (the pentium350 signifies the network name). When I login to the administrator account, I use the regular name, but all my documents and settings are in the Administrator.PENTIUM350 folder, in the Docs and Settings. I have uninstalled Sun download manager, but it is still acting this way. It might be other programs too, that are causing the duplication, but I don't know. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you joined a domain as the new profile is only created when you login to a network

You can abandon the administrator account if you want. Just login as administrator and create an account using any name you want and give it admin privilidges. I did that on a network where the admin account was taking forever to load and I just didn't get around to fixing it. If you do that, don't copy any profiles. Create the account as completely new.

I won't get into good account practices here.

To correct your issue logon as administrator. Create a user account which you will use to logon with routinely. Copy the contents of the admin pentium35 documents and settings to this new account. Logon using his new account. Delete the user .pentium350 and the users folder once you have everything where you want it.

Hint: always have two admin accounts minimally on a system. You never know when you will need a back door into your system.
